Wood

Natural wood will complement any project or design with an array of high-quality options. You can select from unusual wood species or common favorites. It’s been at the core of Woodland’s product offering for customers who want the lasting beauty only wood can offer. Wood is hard to beat for strength, rigidity, beauty, and thermal performance. Today the wood windows are clad to resist the elements and provide a low-maintenance exterior that never needs painting.

Fiberglass Or Composite

It is becoming an ever-increasing choice for consumers who want lower maintenance with the look of wood. Fiberglass is a natural insulator because it doesn’t expand, contract, or conduct hot or cold. More energy is efficient and stronger than vinyl and waterproof. Made by a process called pultrusion, glass fibers are melted and set into the desired shape. They are made from reclaimed wood fiber and PVC polymer fused. Composite windows perform well when exposed to extreme temperatures and won’t fade, flake, blister, or peel.

Vinyl

Vinyl provides an excellent low-maintenance window. It’s durable and provides great value. All vinyl windows now come in various styles, including a wood interior, and most are paintable, making them one of the most popular replacement windows in the market today. Most window manufacturers now offer vinyl as a protective cladding for their wood-core windows. This combination of a weather-resistant vinyl exterior, the strength of a solid wood frame, and the beauty of a wood interior perform well to resist water and seal out the elements. A time-proof alternative, vinyl has been around for nearly 50 years.

Aluminum

Recently aluminum windows are becoming the choice of many architects and builders for their clean lines and strength, allowing for thin frames and larger expanses of glass. Maintenance-free and complement modern design or mid-century homes originally built with aluminum windows. Today’s aluminum windows combat their propensity to transfer heat with thermal break, usually a polyurethane between the glass and the frame, greatly improving energy efficiency.
