The mid-century modern home was in complete disrepair when the owners of Interior Design Company, IDC purchased it. Their design goal was to restore it to its original style with the benefit of modern windows and doors, which enabled more scenic views, more light, UV protection and energy efficiency. Marvin Signature collection modern-contemporary profiles with ebony exterior finish were selected for the sleek profile.
The original home on this lot was replaced with this modern home. Andersen E-Series windows were selected to accommodate the owner’s floor to ceiling frameless glass expanses and narrow profile design. Walnut interior finish and black aluminum exterior. Woodland recommended the E-Series because of the likelihood there will be no need to mix and match windows from other lines to evoke this modern design.
Chicago Architect Frank Cavanaugh restored this Historic 1899 Mission Style home adding a modern sleek window by Marvin Signature. The classic push-out style casements and grille patterns keep with the original character of the home, while the narrow profiles and bronze finish give it panache. The focal window at roof level was restored to it’s original curvature.
The character of this home comes through the windows and doors. Thoughtfully chosen to flood the space with light and open the rooms to the charming neighborhood outside. The New Life General Contractors selected Quaker Manchester windows in Alpine White finish. The entry doors are Therma-Tru Smooth Star custom painted. The kitchen door is a full lite in order to give the space a larger feel and invite in light.
This newly built Craftsman style home nestled in an old neighborhood backs up to a beautiful lake. The architectural design centers on the lake views. Windows and doors from Marvin Signature were selected for their versatility to create multiple window configurations to form window walls and maximize views. The French doors throughout connect the indoors to the outdoors.
Stunning property. Homeowners replaced old windows with Marvin double-hung round top windows in front of the house. Newly replaced windows are Marvin Ultimate double-hung round top windows in front of the house in Pebble Gray color. Picture windows used in bump out design.
Built in 1921 this Mediterranean style home is a true beauty. Designed in the aesthetic of Mediterranean villas, this home’s arches, plaster motifs and clean stucco walls invite in the light from the new windows and doors. Keeping the inspiration of the original home while taking advantage of larger casement and picture windows along with fewer grilles make the rooms lighter and airier. Marvin Signature half circle, Colonial SDLs and V-Groove glass keep the classic aesthetic.
This stylish contemporary design in Old Irving Park neighborhood called for Marvin Signature modern windows. Ebony exteriors accentuate the stone window frames and beautiful roof. Completed by Elite General Contractors, this is an elegant home with breathtaking details.
Beauty in the details. We spend hours in our kitchens, yet for most kitchen remodeling projects everyone is focused on counter, cabinets, appliances, and layout. Most homeowners pay scant attention to kitchen window details like optimal sizes, shapes, functionality, location, and beauty. For Sal Corna, at Corna Tile & Marble Construction, it’s his job to pay attention to every detail of kitchen design and windows become a focal point of this kitchen remodel in Elmwood Park. Simple, functional, and elegant this kitchen is a showcase for Marvin Signature wood clad windows, cashmere exterior and white interior. The designer chose classic single-hung with half high-transparency mesh screens for the stove wall and eating area. The grille design brings the windows in focus rather than the adjacent buildings being the first thing you see. In contrast, casements and a picture window were selected in the nook for an unobstructed view of their backyard.
This 1868 Gold Coast rowhouse was fully renovated in 2021. The architect selected floor-to ceiling new custom Marvin windows, doors, and transoms for the Juliet balconies. Each French door and casement window was customized to suit the newly renovated structure for the perfect fit and visual sightlines. Unique pairings such as casements with transoms were designed to match the historic look of the building. French doors and stationary panels were strategically arranged for maximum functional clearance. Inswing casements are an elegant and functional finish to the Juliet balconies like yesteryear. Ebony finishes were used throughout the interior and exterior, with Marvin Wineberry finish selected for the courtyard exterior to match the neighboring facades.
From one of the most innovative modern home builders. These Marvin Essential window projects in Itasca. There will be no shortage of natural light in these beautiful modern ranch homes. Woodland recommended Essential for its standard sizes and modern looks. The windows and sliding doors are Ultrex (fiberglass) in ebony. The product line was the ideal choice for the direct glaze large picture window glass sizes, combined with casements and rectangles. Essential offers multiple specialty shapes with factory or field mulling to get the look just right. The builder completed the look with a fiberglass Therma-Tru entry door Classic-Craft in a modern design.
