Industry Pros: Explore How We Can Help You

Our History

1960's

John Mariotti Sr. was a partner in a builder’s supply company specializing in millwork. This company eventually liquidated, and some of the stock and machinery was moved into a local warehouse for Mariotti’s next business venture.

John and Ann Mariotti purchased a small lot at the corner of Lake Street and Gary Avenue in Roselle, Illinois, with a small home that was turned into a storefront named Woodland Lumber Company.

1970's

John Mariotti’s focus remained on selling millwork, but he began to supplement his income by selling firewood, weighed on a bathroom scale, and railroad ties, which were in great demand then. The Mariotti sons were an integral part of the business as they worked side by side with their father after school and during breaks.

When builders started asking John if he could supply windows along with millwork and doors for their projects, windows would be the next product available from Woodland.

1980's

By this time, Rano, Ralph, and Ken Mariotti had joined the Woodland team and their parents, John and Ann, as full-time employees. The “Little House with the Doors of Many Colors” at Gary and Lake soon became a popular source for windows and doors, offering high-quality installations to their customers in the Chicagoland area.

The Mariotti’s decided it was time to expand their product offerings to include many of the top-rated brands of windows and doors.

1990's

Woodland had far outgrown the original facilities, and the buildings were replaced with a 14,000-square-foot building to accommodate the growing company, including a 6,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art showroom. John and Ann Mariotti officially handed over the company’s management to their three sons, Rano, Ralph, and Ken Mariotti.

2000's

2000’s Woodland created four separate divisions: Homeowner, Homeowners Association, Commercial, and Contractor to serve the individual needs of our clients better.

In 2019, Woodland Windows & Doors celebrated its 50th anniversary. Today, the next generation of Mariotti has joined the company alongside their fathers and uncles. The company’s future looks bright, and in the words of John Mariotti, “if you take care of your customer, the customer will take care of you.” Taking care of customers is Woodland’s mission.

2024

To accommodate the company's growth, Woodland Windows & Doors has launched a 15,000-square-foot logistical hub in Hanover Park, consolidating logistics and our pre-finishing processes. This innovation enhances efficiency and quality, providing customers with a seamless experience.
