We’ve all heard about the shortage of construction industry talent to replace retiring trades like plumbing, electrical or carpentry, at Woodland we decided to do something about it.

Yesterday, Woodland held an installation training to introduce students to the Trade. Working with the faculty at a local Trade school, our very own installers who came to Woodland from these trade schools were the instructors – real life role models.

What better way to solve the problem than to expose our young people to opportunities in the Trades before they graduate from High School. Teach them the basic skills and hopefully inspire them to want to learn more. Construction will always be a booming industry where people with the skills will have great careers and Woodland wants to help make that happen for our community.
