A home in the woods needs more glass, which is why the owners of Interior Design Group, IDG in Lisle, Il selected Marvin Contemporary Studio series for their own home nestled on a wooded lot not far from Chicago.
Nestled on a wooded lot not far from Chicago, the renovation design focused on creating a quiet oasis by connecting the home to nature. The modern windows feature maximum glass and minimal framing. The living room glass walls are approximately 11′ wide x 5 1/2’high for the sliders and another 15′ x 5 1/2′, providing a unobstructed views. Likewise, the study, featured above has similar expanses on a single wall of windows.
The owners selected the minimalist hardware in matte black, the exterior commercial grade clad-wood finish is ebony and the interior pine was ordered primed.
